Resono Go, with its cord so you can wear it.

How to Use

Turn the dial to set the resistance, then hum, slide and sing through it. Step-by-step guides are free in Rayvox Studio.

Materials and Care

Made from food-grade plastic. To clean it, let it soak in hot water with washing-up liquid for a few minutes, clean the inside and outside, rinse and leave it to dry. Avoid anything abrasive, which can scratch it.

Delivery and Returns

Delivery is calculated at checkout. We assemble every product to order, so please allow 7–10 days for dispatch; every parcel is tracked.

Feel the Resistance

Turning the dial slides its round hole along the teardrop opening in the body. The less of the teardrop it uncovers, the more pressure builds behind it and the less air gets out.

Small but Mighty

Everything we know about straw phonation, in a tool you can wear.

Built-In Adjustable Resistance

Our patented variable aperture, in our smallest form yet. Turn the dial and its hole slides over the teardrop opening in the body.

Wearable and Always With You

Backstage, on a train, in rehearsals. Super light, on a corded necklace, ready whenever you are.

Locked On, Off to Clean

The dial is locked on, so it can’t drop off, even upside down. To clean, turn it to the lock mark, pull, twist and pull. It goes back on the same way.

How It Works

Why Singers Use Straws

Singing through a straw partly closes the mouth's exit, so a little air pressure builds up behind it. That back-pressure reaches down to your vocal folds and lets them keep vibrating with less effort.

Singers use straws for the same reason athletes train in a pool: full movement, less load.

Key PointThe narrower the straw, the more back-pressure. Resono's dial lets you choose exactly how much.

I have the Resono Pro kit and wore my Resono Go to a choir rehearsal. On route it fell off of its cord. I was given a refund by Rayvox so I thought I would replace it. Unfortunately this product was not the same as the one I lost, it is plastic rather than the metal one I originally had. I never realised it was a completely different product to the Pro. Unfortunately I have been unable to replace the metal one which was excellent and much better than the plastic one.

Hello, we have already spoken to you via email about this, as your original was the Pro, and you repurchased an entirely different product after (the Go). They are not the same, and we do not at all advertise them as the same. Functionally, however, the Go is actually superior for your use case as it offers a much wider resistance profile by default, is lighter to wear long term, and has a much better mechanism for adjusting the dial.

Resono Go - A tool every vocalist should have

I purchased this after suffering some vocal fatigue from weeks of heavy recording sessions and frequent belting in my upper range.

I’ve since incorporated it into my daily warm-up routine, using gentle sirens to stretch the voice and target areas where my coordination can be less consistent—particularly between F4 and C5, as I have a naturally low baritone speaking voice.

The results have genuinely surprised me. These exercises have helped reshape my tone into something stronger, fuller, and more balanced. I used to experience a lot of unwanted overtones and instability when singing higher, Chris Cornell-style vocal lines, but those issues have been significantly reduced.

It’s almost as if the SOVT exercises have taught my voice a more efficient way to function. My singing feels easier, more coordinated, and requires noticeably less effort than before.

Mr
Hands-Free Wearable Adjustable Resistance Vocal Gym

This time last year I don’t think I had ever heard of either singing straws or of the concept of SOVT. Then sometime during summer or early autumn I started seeing advertisements for SOVT devices and I was intrigued as I am a bass choral singer who has a lot of difficulty with vocal strain at the top of the bass stave, let alone any ledger lines. Anyway I tried a few things, beginning with a reusable metal straw sold by a chain of coffee shops. Unfortunately that required both hands - one to hold the straw and one to hold a glass of water to provide the resistance. That wasn’t very practical. I needed something hands-free and so I tried a kazoo. That had very little resistance.
Resono Go is the answer; it is hands-free and wearable, with a rotary dial for adjustable resistance. I tend to practice on high resistance and my voice is beginning to expand in range, both higher and lower.
Resono Go is not just for singers; I have recently taken up acting and it is as relevant to speech as it is to singing.

This is great!

Really happy I got this - it’s a small but mighty piece of kit that’s really helping me to start smoothing out rough patches in my range and concentrate on my breath control.

Love this product

While I don’t find a straw inconvenient to use, I love this item because wearing it around my neck means I have a reminder to do my exercises on days I’m not performing or having lessons. I am able to be so much more consistent now and hearing the benefits of it in my voice.

Have bought one for my friend.

Had great customer service also, quickly resolving queries.

Releasing my voice

I’ve only tried a couple of times now, but using the rayvox go as my warm up tool and then releasing on a vowel has really helped the tension in my upper register.
After just a couple of goes my open vowel on C5 is phenomenal already so big thank yous from me!

What's the difference between Resono Pro and Resono Go?

Resono Pro is our flagship modular kit, made from stainless steel, with attachments you can swap for your needs. Resono Go is a lightweight wearable with a built-in variable aperture, giving you a huge resistance range from a small device.

Is Resono Go suitable for beginners?

Yes. Resono Go assumes no knowledge of SOVT or straw phonation. With its built-in resistance dial you can explore exercises in a whole new way: just sing, spin, and find vocal balance.

Does Resono Go replace Resono Pro?

No. Resono Go is your daily driver for SOVT work; Resono Pro is your full vocal multi-gym, with variable apertures, respiratory training attachments and resonance-extending features. They complement each other.

How do I clean Resono Go?

Soak it in hot water with regular washing-up liquid for a few minutes, clean inside and out, rinse and leave to dry. Avoid abrasive materials, which can scratch it.

Air leaks at the lips or nose

This lowers back-pressure. Seal your lips firmly around the straw, and pinch your nose to check the flow.

Using the same resistance for everything

One setting doesn't fit every range or dynamic. Match the resistance to the goal, and change it as your voice needs.
